Eco-friendly car wash done at your place

REHOBOTH BEACH -- Give Mark Quigley a small part of your day and less than a gallon of water and he can wash your car or SUV.

As the owner of Go Green Mobile Clean, he goes to his clients and cleans their vehicles using eco-friendly products and a fraction of the water used by other companies.

"I've washed and waxed a 24-foot motor home with half a gallon of water," Quigley said. "The owner couldn't believe it."

The secret lies in the products Quigley uses, which he helped develop. "All products we use are biodegradable solvents, human- and pet-friendly."

Quigley has been in the car-washing business for more than 20 years. His products save about 100 gallons of water for every car he cleans.

Jill Porter of Milton hired Go Green Mobile Clean several times to clean her car.

"I'm really eco-friendly, but I didn't understand the car washing," she said. "After one wash, I couldn't believe he used less than a gallon of water. He didn't need our water or electricity. It looked so nice."

And his contribution to the environment doesn't stop after the car wash. For every service, Quigley's company plants a tree.
